Bhutan PM, Spouse Arrive In Ayodhya To Visit Ram Lalla Temple, Hanumangarhi Temple

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, who is on a four-day visit to India, arrived in Ayodhya on Friday along with his spouse Aum Tashi Doma to offer prayers at Shri Ram Lalla temple, Hanumangarhi templeĀ and other prominent temples in the city.

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, accompanied by his spouse Aum Tashi Doma, will be on an official visit to India from September 3 to 6, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

On Wednesday,Ā Ā Prime Minister Tobgay visitedĀ Nalanda University. After his visit, he said he was humbled by the university’s legacy that shaped Bhutan’s Vajrayana traditions and expressed his admiration for the students and faculty carrying its spirit forward.

“I had the privilege of visiting Nalanda University today. Humbled by its legacy that shaped Bhutan’s Vajrayana traditions, and inspired by students and faculty carrying its spirit forward. Invited them to Bhutan’s Global Peace Prayer Festival this Nov,” Tobgay said in a post on X.Ā 

Royal Bhutan Temple In Rajgir

On September 4, His Holiness the Je Khenpo, Trulku Jigme Choedra, Chief Abbot of Bhutan, along with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, attended the consecration ceremony of the Royal Bhutan Temple in Rajgir, Bihar.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the visit by His Holiness the Je Khenpo and the Bhutanese Prime Minister continues the tradition of frequent high-level exchanges, reflecting the strong and special partnership between the two nations.

Bhutan PM’s Earlier Trip To India

This visit comes after Bhutan Prime Minister Tobgay’s earlier trip to India from February 20 to 21, during which he participated in the inaugural Leadership Conclave of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL), inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Ā 

During his earlier visit, Prime Minister Tobgay held discussions with Prime Minister Modi. He also met with several senior Indian officials, including Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju, and Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita, among others.
