New Delhi: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana is all set to tie the knot with music director and filmmaker Palash Muchhal.
While the duo has never officially confirmed their relationship, Muchhal and Mandhana have often shared pictures with each other on social media, sparking speculation among fans.
The 30-year-old musician has now officially confirmed that the star batter will soon become the “daughter-in-law of Indore.”\
During an event at the State Press Club on Friday, Muchhal, who hails from Indore, was asked about his relationship with Mandhana. Responding to the question, he said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say,” confirming the news with a smile.
Muchhal also extended his best wishes to the Indian cricket team all the luck for the upcoming crucial clash against England on Sunday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. “My best wishes are with Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti (Mandhana). We always want the Indian cricket team to win every match and bring glory to the country,” he added.
Smriti Mandhana who is the vice-captain and opening batswoman of the Indian women’s cricket team, is currently in Indore for the ICC Women’s World Cup ODI match against England on Sunday.
India has lost its previous two matches against South Africa and Australia, making the upcoming clash with England crucial to stay in contention for the semifinals.
With Australia and South Africa already securing their spots, India is now likely to battle it out with New Zealand and England for the remaining two places in the top four.
Meanwhile, musician-filmmaker Palash Muchhal, known for composing music for several Bollywood films alongside his sister Palak Muchhal, is currently directing his upcoming film Raju Bajewala. The movie stars Balika Vadhu fame Avika Gor and Panchayat actor Chandan Roy in lead roles.
