Mardaani, Sooryavanshi Actor Ashish Warang Passes Away At 55 – Who Was He?

New Delhi: Bollywood and Marathi film actor Ashish Warang, known for his powerful screen presence and memorable roles, passed away on September 5 at the age of 55. The actor reportedly breathed his last at his residence in Thane. While the exact cause of his death has not yet been confirmed, reports suggest that he had been unwell for some time.

According to Pune Pulse, Warang had recently recovered from jaundice in December. His sudden demise has come as a shock to colleagues, friends, and fans across the film fraternity.

Filmmaker Arin Paul paid an emotional tribute to the actor on X (formerly Twitter), writing,

“Shocked to hear about the passing of actor Ashish Warang today. I had the privilege of working with him. May his soul find peace and his work live on in the memories he helped create. Will miss you, Ashish ji.”

Ashish Warang leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having worked across Hindi and Marathi cinema as well as popular web series. He is fondly remembered for his roles in Nishikant Kamat’s Drishyam and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi – performances that earned him widespread recognition.

He also appeared in several other notable projects, including Mardaani, Ek Villain Returns, Cirkus, and the critically acclaimed web series The Family Man.

In Marathi cinema, Warang was part of acclaimed films like Dharmaveer and Tandav, cementing his position as a versatile actor who could seamlessly switch between industries and genres.

On social media, particularly Instagram, the late actor often shared glimpses from his professional life – posing with co-stars like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and even cricketer Shikhar Dhawan.
