Uttarkashi Cloudburst: Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood, Adivi Sesh And Other Celebs Heartbroken, Pray For Victims

Uttarkashi Cloudburst: A cloudburst in Dharali, Uttarkashi on Tuesday unleashed flash floods, destroying homes, damaging roads, and leaving many affected in its wake. The film fraternity has come forward to extend condolences to the victims. From Sara Ali Khan , Adivi Sesh, Sonu Sood to Raghav Juyal, several celebrities have reacted to the tragedy and also raised alarm over climate change.

Celebs Reacted To Uttarkashi Cloudburst Tragedy 

Sara took to Instagram and wrote, ‘My heart goes out to everyone impacted by the incident in Uttarakhand. Praying for safety, strength and healing for all .’

In another post, she provided emergency contact numbers to support ongoing relief operations.

‘Uttarkashi District Emergency Operation Centre has issued the following emergency numbers: 01374222126, 01374222722, 9456556431,’ The post reads. 


Actor Sonu Sood expressed his concern over the devastating tragedy. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, ‘Heartbroken by the devastating floods & cloudburst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Prayers for every life affected. It’s time the nation comes together — while the govt does its part, we as individuals must stand up for every soul who lost a home, a living, a life. ‘

Bhumi Pednekar also reacted to the Uttarkashi cloudburst and wrote on her social media post.”What’s happening in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand is heartbreaking,” 

Actor Adivi Sesh took to X and reacted to the incident, writing, “Praying for #Uttarakhand. Heartbreaking visuals.”

 Vivek Oberoi has expressed concern on the recent cloudburst that has swept away several villages in Uttarkashi. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) He wrote, ‘Shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic cloudburst in Uttarakhand. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Dharali, Uttarkashi, who are battling its devastating aftermath. May the rescue and relief efforts bring hope and safety to all those affected.’

Raghav Juyal strongly highlighted the issues of climate change and uncontrolled development. Taking to the story section of Instagram, he shared multiple posts, including a horrific video from the Uttarkashi cloudburst, with captions like ‘Prayers’ and ‘Stop this, it’s already too late.’



Uttarakhand Cloudburst Tragedy 

On Tuesday, twin cloudbursts in Uttarkashi’s Dharali and Sukhi Top triggered flash floods, sweeping away homes, shops, roads, and vital infrastructure. Dharali suffered the worst damage, with visuals showing muddy torrents tearing through the village. Mudslides and road washouts, including a complete collapse at Bhatwadi on the Uttarkashi-Harsil route, worsened the crisis. Rescue efforts by the Army, ITBP, SDRF, NDRF, and BRO have been underway despite heavy rain, as authorities work tirelessly to save those trapped. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also visited Dharali to assess the destruction.
