The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for nine districts from Idukki to Kasaragod on Thursday forecasting isolated heavy rains. The State is also likely to receive moderate showers or thunderstorms for the next five days under the influence of an offshore trough and a cyclonic circulation that persists over Jharkhand and neighbourhood, according to an IMD bulletin on Wednesday.ย
