Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 129.70 feet

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 129.70 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 624 cusecs and a discharge of 400 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 64.50 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 189 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 7,239.12 mcft. Sathiyar dam recorded a rainfall of 29.6 mm and Madurai 0.6 mm in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
